SKG

Swiss Kennel Club (SKG)

As a national organization, the SKG has been safeguarding cynological interests in Switzerland since 1883 and represents them vis-à-vis the authorities and foreign cynological organizations.

It is a member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). SKG promotes the pure breeding of functionally and genetically healthy, behaviorally safe, socially and environmentally compatible dogs based on the breed standards of the FCI. More than 250 different breeds of dogs are cared for in the over 115 breed clubs of the SKG and bred under the strictest controls. The SKG create with our more than 300 local sections throughout Switzerland the opportunity for meaningful activity with the dog from basic training to sporting championships.
