Pietro Paolo bred his first litter of black poodle in the young age of 13 years old.
It’s in 1983 that for the first time Pietro Paolo has handled a dog on a show ring, was the International Dog Show of Torino. He showed an Ibician Hound bred by “del Gran Khan” affix.
From that moment many things have changed: he started breeding Rough Collies, met his wife Marina and, together, they started breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels under the “Comte d’Eau” affix.
To the “Comte d’Eau” has been awarded a huge number of champions, well known all around the world.
Pietro Paolo started his career as a FCI Judge: for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels on the 1998, then for the Rough Collies, and after for the whole ninth group, slowly went through the other groups arriving to become all-round judge in the 2017
Chairman of the Toys Breed Club since the 2000, he organizes many Italian Shows, one of this is The International Dog Show of Sanremo, that is partner of the Mediterranean Trophy together with the Monaco Kennel Club –Principauté de Monaco where he is general commissary, and the Société Midi- Cote d’Azur-France.
Liaison member for ENCI in the Yorkshire and Rough and Smooth Collie club.
Pietro Paolo lives in Ventimiglia (IM) near the French border, has wrote two books about the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he has and still collaborate with many dog’s magazine.
On the 2004 the ENCI Kennel Club enclose him on the panel of the Central Tecnic Committee and following has been elected to be on the panel of the Judge’s committee in the 2010. Confirmed many times in the Judge’s committee, He continues to bring his knowledge; full involved in the committee he has been charged in more others activity one of this, the total review of the Italian Standards, he is now the chief of the standard control and translation. He speaks French and English and often give lessons to the upcoming new judges.
His favourite hobby after the dog’s world it’s enjoying nature, and kayak.
