Schär, Manuela
Manuela was born in 1988 in Thun, near the Swiss mountains. Soon after her birth her parents moved with her sister and her to Langenthal in a big house. There was the opportunity to bring a very loving Labrador Retriever bitch into the family with which Manuela grew up. With this bitch her parents started breeding in 1991. It was great for her to experience the raising of the puppies from a very early age.
Since 1993, in addition to Labrador Retrievers, Curly Coated Retrievers and, from 2003, American Cocker Spaniels have been part of the family. Manuela was allowed to accompany her parents to dog shows as a small child.
She was already able to gain experience in the show ring at the age of 8 when she took part in junior handling competitions. As a highlight, she was allowed to represent Switzerland 3 times at the world finals at the Crufts in Birmingham.
During this time, Manuela was able to gain a lot of experience with dogs and different breeds. From an early age, it was a big goal for her to become a judge.
She has been a judge for Retreivers since 2016 and for Spaniels since 2021.
It is a great honour for her to be a judge.
She has been a member of the board of the Retriever Club Switzerland since 2020, with the Responsibility for exhibitions.
