Beccarelli, Ivo
In 2006, Ivo began his career as a judge, having bred Pekingese and Afghan Hounds since 1990.
Over the years, he has bred and shown successfully various breeds like Bulldogs, Basset-Hounds, Yorkshire-Terriers, Chinese Crested Dogs, Chihuahuas and Japanese Chins. His last great success to remember was the Eurodogshow in Paris in 2022, where his homebred Pekingese “Nespresso What Else” won the Eurowinner title.
Ivo is a member of various breed club committees. He is president of the Swiss Toy Dog Club, also president of the Swiss Bulldog Club. He is treasurer of the Swiss Club of Oriental Sighthounds, vice-president of the Swiss Club of Molossers and of the Swiss Irish Wolfhound Club as well as Breeding Controller of the Swiss Pekingese Club.
It took around 12 years for Ivo to be eligible to judge all breeds of group 10 and he is a group 10 judge since 2019.
Ivo also judges various breeds in the groups 2 and 9, as well as the Yorkshire Terrier.
It is always with pleasure and great honour that Ivo officiates as a judge. He had the great pleasure of judging at the French Championship in Dijon in 2021.
Today he is very proud, honoured and grateful to have the opportunity to judge his first World Dog Show in his native country at the World Dog Show 2023 which will take place in Geneva, Switzerland.
